Which character would you like (or not like) to be your friend? Why?

I would like to be friends with General Sherman because he is completely nuts. I am confused how he passed the army psych exam. He seems like such a caricature of the crazed general. He is not only crazy but he is also a very organized and efficient person. I love how he talks about the government as a person and how he loves to kill zombies. He is a gun crazed zombie hunter.

He would not be a good friend for the obvious reason. He is a wacko and is a general in a zombie killing task force. Also he is a Metalica fan while I don't like Metalica.

What has surprised you in the book? Why?

I am surprised by the fact that I am on page 90 and Most of the main characters are dead. Now the only characters that are still alive are the characters that have been mentioned in passing. For example the person that is my second favorite characters is the man who is making sure that all the planes land. He is the guy in the control tower.

I am also surprised by the fact that everything has gone wrong. For example a civilian just happened to drive into the mine field that the army had set up. And someone throws a grenade and it happens to hit a pole that is holding up a fence that is keeping back the zombies. And it just happened to be the daughter of the person who discovered The Morningstar strain is working with the red cross to help the anti-zombie squad.
